Paris

We dined on good old New Zealand lamb for Christmas dinner and had a blessed time with the family (we hope our family and friends did too). Another adventure was going to the Catacombs. After descending 20 metres from street level, we walked through 2 kms of tunnels with a mind boggling amount of bones and skulls of millions of Parisians packed along each and every wall. During WW2 these unnels were used as headquarters by the resistance. They were created in 1810. We found many bible scriptures engraved on the walls.
On our last day we soaked up the views from Cathedral de Notre Dame. In the evening we dined on snails for the entree and frogs legs for the main.
This morning we parted company with Samuel and Hayley after an awesome week, they flew to Hong Kong for New Years and we headed to Venice.
